A Condo Management App Should Create a Great User Experience (UX) for residents and Make Building Managers Lives Easier.
You have a goal to keep your condo residents better engaged and streamline some of your management and administrative duties. A condo management app can help you do just that.
Unlike websites (which are great for initial discovery), apps act as the perfect tool to keep existing residents up to date and informed, while automating some basic administrative tasks.
What to look for in condo management app
Our condo management app is designed around user experience. Our clean, modern and elegant interface allows residents to easily accomplish what they set out to do within your app (i.e. book a guest suite, read the gym rules, message another resident etc), while at the same time giving condo managers a backend platform that is easy to use and update.
Our goal when designing our condo management app was to focus on User Experience (UX) without compromising power. We wanted the platform to be powerful but not complex and easy to use, but now just another “out of the box” condo management app solution.
So before we jump in and talk about some of the interesting features of our condo management mobile app, let’s take a look at some of the front-end screenshots.
Notice the heavy focus on clean and minimalistic design. We designed the app to ensure that the goal of the resident could be accomplished in as few clicks as possible. For example, if they want to book a conference room, view the availability of guest parking on a particular day or view the pool hours on Sunday, they can do with in as little as one or two clicks. The entire interface is intuitive and fast, which makes the app more likely to be used.
Another feature which was important to us, was the ability to match the apps branding (font, colors, visual style) to that of the condo. We’re very big on visuals here at Turf.Press so we wanted to ensure that condo managers had the ability to ensure consistency between their own corporate branding and the look and feel of the app. Therefore we focused on making creating a system which would allow us to quickly establish visual consistency between the look of the app and the condo. Everything from fonts, colors and images are totally customizable.
When integrating features into the app, we wanted to create a modular system which allowed condo owners or managers to easily drag and drop necessary components. For example, some condo managers might require a page for their pool under amenities, while others may not. Some codos will allow for in app payments for premium services like conference room bookings or spa treatments, while others don’t have the need for these services. For this reason, we needed to make the features of the condo management app scalable to condo owner and managers needs.
We created a framework where scaling your app up, doesn’t necessarily increase the cost of the app’s development. This is because we’ve created an app architecture that allows us to add or remove components quickly and easily.
Therefore, with Turf.Press customizing the app to your condo’s specific needs isn’t very time consuming and in the majority of cases, doesn’t lead to extra costs.
In terms of specific features our condo management app allows for the following:

Integrated payment system (pay condo fees, rent, buy merchandise etc)
Within each of these features, condo managers and owners can easily customize the feature to fit their needs. For instance, imagine you had a sports-field that you allowed your residents to book. You can set this amenity up in a way that makes sense for your condo. For example:
You can create a basic amenity page with a brief description, photos and hours.
All of the above + allow residents to reserve the amenity (for free)
All of the above + allow residents to reserve the amenity (pay refundable deposit)
All of the above + allow residents to reserve the amenity (one time payment)
Payments are integrated into the condo management app through Stripe or Paypal. Condo owners or managers can setup products which have one time payments or subscription payments.
For example, if someone wants to book a service (such as a massage or an event) the mobile app will allow for a one time payment.
However, some services are better integrated with subscription technology. For example, the payment of condo fees or even rent can be setup through the app and residents will be automatically billed for those services each month. Payments can be setup to renew monthly, quarterly or yearly.
