Accept rent or condo fee payments from your tenants seamlessly using built-in recurring subscription software.

In today’s tutorial we’re going to learn how to setup recurring subscription payments into your multi-unit website in order to allow your tenants to pay you automatically each month. Our payment tool makes streamlining payments for your condo, apartment or multi-family residence a breeze.

Built-in rent payments are just one small part of our building management system. However, even though payments are a small part of our system, they are an incredibly important part. So let me take a moment and explain how you can easily integrate payments for things like rent or condo fees into your building’s website.

A MULTI-UNIT WEBSITE THAT CAN DO IT ALL

The best property management software will be designed in a way that makes life easier for both tenants as well as landlords and property managers. In order to do this, your website will need to have both an intuitive and friendly front-end for your tenants, as well as a powerful and easy to use back-end for your building’s managers.

Most importantly, you need to have a website that has separate permissions based on user type. For example, you want to give your building’s residents more permissions than websites visitors who are browsing through your property listings, but not more permissions than your property managers.

For example, you’ll want your tenants to be able to login to your system to setup automatic recurring subscription payments to do things like pay rent or building fees. Let’s look at how how the Turf.Press system looks from the resident’s point of view after logging in.

pay rent online

In the above image you’ll notice a button that says “pay rent online”. Your tenants can simply click that button to be brought to a payment page that will allow them to setup a recurring subscription payment to pay their rent online. The system is setup to be as hands-off as possible for both landlords and tenants. After making the payment online, the tenant will automatically be billed once / month without the need for them to make a manual payment.

The Turf.Press rent payment system can be setup to accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex etc), PayPal, ACH (bank payments from checking or savings accounts), or bank transfers.

Once this system is setup, the tenant can simply make payment directly on your website. See the image below to view a sample checkout page for a tenant that wants to automate their condo fee payments.

EASY RECORD KEEPING

After making a payment, your residents can easily manage their invoices and print receipts from their account page. The Turf.Press system automatically generates invoices and receipts for your tenants.

SETTING UP RENT PAYMENTS IN THE BACKEND

Now you’ve seen how tenants can make payments through your website’s frontend. Let’s now jump into the backend to see how building owners and property managers can easy add recurring subscription products for things like rent or condo fees.

Notice in the image below, you’ll only need to select one checkbox to make a product a subscription product.

CONCLUSION

Allowing your residents to pay their rent or condo fees online is easy to do with Turf.Press. In the video above, we talk in more detail about how you can setup variable products to act as subscription products. Variable products allow you to add an extra layer of complexity to your subscription products (for example, if you wanted to allow your tenants to pay for any “addon” on top of their rent or fee payments). Virtually any conceivable payment setup is possible through the Turf.Press system.
