How To Send Newsletters to Your Property’s Tenants
“There are many reasons why you might want to sent an email newsletter to your property’s tenants. You might want to send them news, event notifications or even just let them know what you’ve been up to this month.”

Sending emails and email newsletters to your residents directly through your website.
At Turf.Press we believe the more integrated a property manager’s tech stack is, the better. Otherwise, property managers end up having fragmented and disjointed software solutions which end up being hard to manage (and expensive).
At Turf.Press we wanted to keep as many elements within our platform as possible. This includes email & newsletter marketing. Many property managers rely on expensive third party email marketing solutions to send out their property newsletters. As your list gets bigger, or as you send more emails, these options get expensive quickly.
There are of course free options available, but free options are heavily restricted. For example, most of the popular email marketing platforms don’t allow free tier users to send automated drip emails.
However, it’s this type of automation that can really help property managers save time and streamline inefficient processes. For example, what if you wanted to send automated payment reminder emails on the 27th of each month?
The Turf.Press email newsletter feature for property managers allows you to do just that.
Let’s jump in and see how it looks.
EMAIL AND MOBILE PHONE EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS
Because our multi-unit property software solution comes with both a desktop and mobile version, you increase the chances that your residents will see your newsletter.
CREATING A NEWSLETTER
Creating a newsletter is easy. You simply jump into your backend and visit your dashboard page. It will look something like this:
On this page you will be able to monitor how many subscribers you have, how many property newsletter campaigns you have active, how many lists you currently have, as well as important email marketing metrics like opens, clicks, unsubscribes and bounces.
Your dashboard page gives you an at-a-glance snapshot of the effectiveness of your property newsletters.
SENDING EMAIL NEWSLETTERS
Sending email newsletters is a breeze through a Turf.Press property management website.
Regular newsletter campaigns: A regular newsletter campaign would be a type of campaign that you send once to your subscribers. For example, you might want to alert your tenants of the coming month’s upcoming events.
Autoresponders: Autoresponders can be setup to go out to property residents as “drip emails” at predetermined times when certain triggers (i.e. time or event based triggers) take place. Autoresponders are a great way for property managers to automate any tasks that involves reminding tenants about anything that happens on a regular basis (rent or building fee payment reminders).
For example, you might want to send auto-reminders about rent payments near the end of each month, or you might want to send a reminder your tenants of garbage pick the day before the pick up takes place.
When composing an email newsletter the format in the Turf.Press backend looks something like this:
Using the Turf.Press system, property managers can send up to 10,000 emails for free each month through our system. To send this many emails through popular email marketing services like Mailchimp would cost anywhere from $100 – $300 / month for newsletters alone!
With Turf.Press it’s built into your platform and free.
MONITOR NEWSLETTER REACH & IMPACT
Once you start sending your property newsletters, you can monitor the impact of your campaign in real time using our newsletter reporting feature. Notice you can monitor the total emails sent, opens, click, unsubscribes and bounces.
SEGMENT USERS BASED ON LISTS
You can also segment your users based on lists. For example, you could create a list for people who are members of different groups within your community and send an email newsletter exclusively to people on that list.
Our built-in newsletter feature is only one small part of our much more powerful property management solution. If you’d like to learn more about Turf.Press and how we can help set you up with a powerful website AND mobile app please head over to our homepage to learn more.
