How to allow your residents to sign leases and other types of contracts online.
The Turf.Press property management software system was built from the group up to make managing your multifamily properties a breeze. Whenever possible, we try to keep the software contained within the platform without having to use third party software. When integrating online lease signing software into our system, we decided we didn’t want to connect to third party providers. We wanted to have your fully control the contract signing processes without having to pay or integrate with third party providers.
If you’re using the Turf.Press apartment building website theme, then e-lease and digital signature functionality comes built into your platform. Tenants, can simply login to the system, read through your contracts and then sign the contract at the bottom of the page. You can see a sample contract below.
MANAGING E-LEASES IN THE BACKEND
Once a tenant has signed and submitted their online lease document, you can setup notification rules which will allow you to do any of the following.
1. Send a copy of the signed contract to the tenant through email.
2. Send a copy of the signed contract to the property manager / building owner through email.
3. Store the signed document in the property management software’s backend with all of your other signed e-leases.
Using the Turf.Press system you can have your residents digitally sign as many contracts each month as you require from them. There are no additional costs to sign more contracts, as the entire elease signing process is handled 100% through your own website. This means no third party branding, no extra costs and no integration hassles.
THE PROCESS OF SIGNING
Tenants can sign the online leases you create using a digital pen, their mouse, or their finger if they are using a touch screen device. This ensures that you give your tenants the widest possible selection of lease signing tools.
WHERE ARE CONTRACTS AND LEASES FOUND?
There are different ways you can handle sending your tenants digital leases. You could create a dedicated and hidden contracts page within your website where you send people to when you need them to sign a document.
Alternatively, you could integrate a “lease” or “contracts” section within your building’s websites “tenant portal” (we cover the tenant portal in more detail on this page). On this page, you could list all of the possible contracts you would need your tenants to sign. They could then find the appropriate contract and sign it without you having to send them the actual page.
MOBILE DIGITAL SIGNATURES
The online digital lease section of your website can be setup to allow people to sign their virtual leases or other forms of contracts through their mobile application.
