You have an important message to share. But how do you send it to all your tenants quickly? And how do you ensure it gets through?
The Turf.Press building management software prioritizes community engagement. Part of being engaged means having your tenants “in the know”. For example, if you have an important upcoming meeting, scheduled construction or another piece of news you want to share with your tenants, you need a way to communicate with them quickly and effectively. There are many different ways to do this within the Turf.Press system, but one of the best ways to do this is directly through your website’s messaging system. In this tutorial we’ll teach you how to send out bulk notifications to your building’s residents.
SENDING BULK EMAILS TO ALL TENANTS
If you manage a multi-unit property, your website needs to have some type of built-in communications tool. The more robust and flexible your tenant communication system is, the better.
The Turf.Press multi-unit real estate website, comes with a few different communication tools built into the software. The bulk messaging tool we’re going to explore today was designed to give you the most reach for your messages possible.
The notifications you send through this messaging system end up being sent as emails and push notifications to your resident’s phones. Messages you send through this system will also be added as “notices” on your website. Therefore, when users login to your website or app, your most recent notification will be the first thing they see after they login.
The tenant messaging system we’re going to showcase today is also the easiest mass messaging system that’s built into the Turf.Press platform. It’s not as flexible as our other built-in communications tools, but it’s the easiest to use and has the widest reach.
When you’re logged into the Turf.Press system as an admin (property manager or owner), you’ll notice a section just below your profile header where you can view unread messages and notifications.
In order to send a mass email to all of your tenants all you need to do is visit your “messages” page and then click on “compose”. When you’re on the page to compose a message you’ll notice a checkbox for “this is a notice to all users”. Please note that this message is only viewable to site admins. Your tenants will note have see the checkbox and will not have mass email sending capabilities. To see what what a Turf.Press site admin sees when they compose a message take a look below.
You’ll notice that the design capabilities of this bulk tenant messaging system are limited. That’s because this system was designed so that you could quickly and easily send out messages to all of your tenants without having to worry about design.
Turf.Press also has a built-in email marketing system which lets you do things like send beautiful email newsletters to your tenants. However, the system we’re looking at today, wasn’t designed for that purpose. Using the system we’re looking at today, you can send out a message to all of your tenants in as little as 2 minutes. Essentially, what you lose in design flexibility, you make up for with speed.
WHERE DO THESE MESSAGES GET SENT?
Once you’ve finished composing your message and you click “send”, your message will be sent to your residents’ email inbox as well as to their Android or IOS phone (through an automatic push notification). Additionally, any site-wide notice you send through this system, will show up as a notice to logged-in users within your real estate website. Therefore, when users login to your mobile app or website, they will be greeted with your most recent notification as well.
As you can see, the Turf.Press property management software offers multi-unit property owners and managers various communications tools that allow them to stay in touch with their building’s residents.
